Charolais Cheese Protected Designation of Origin
27 June 2014EU - The European Commission has approved the application for registration of the name "Charolais" as a protected designation of origin (PDO).
The"Charolais" is a cheese made from raw, full-fat, lightly renneted goat's milk in the region of the French town Charolles, between the Auvergne Mountains and the Morvan Massive.
This name will join over 1,200 products already protected; the list is available in the data base DOOR.
