Blue Tongue in Macedonia
18 August 2014MACEDONIA - A total of 21 outbreaks of blue tongue disease have been recorded in the republic of Macedonia.
The incidents occurred in the regions of Berovo, Strumica, Valandovo, Gevgelija and Kavadarci affecting sheep goats and cattle.
The outbreak has affected 4,321 sheep, 215 goats and eight cattle with five deaths amongst the sheep.
All the incidents occurred in the south and east of the country.
