Samsung is currently working on Super Fast Charging 3.0, which it is developing as part of its One UI 8.5 software update.
It has become apparent that these newest software features are currently being designed and developed, specifically intended for inclusion in the company’s next major and most important smartphone, which is expected to be released soon. As a result, the possibility of the company making these new functions available to its older smartphone models is considered quite improbable. One UI already offers Super Fast Charging and Super Fast Charging 2.0. It appears that the new Super Fast Charging 3.0 is now being developed for the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Samsung Has Reportedly Increased The Wired Charging Speed Of The Galaxy S26 Ultra To 60 W
It is reported that Samsung has increased the wired charging speed for the Galaxy S26 Ultra to 60W. This is a major improvement compared to the 45W charging in the S25 Ultra.
The company, Samsung, has decided to maintain the existing capacity of the battery without making any changes to its size. By doing this, they are successfully managing to decrease the amount of time that is necessary to complete the process of fully recharging the battery from empty to one hundred percent. Samsung devices that support even 25W charging include an on screen switch that allows the user to turn on Super Fast Charging.

Super Fast Charging 3.0 Will Use Artificial Intelligence
Testing performed on several devices and different One UI versions confirmed that the feature is fully functional in real use, suggesting it is not just a software trick, such as RAM Plus. Assuming Super Fast Charging 3.0 signifies Samsung’s new era of 60W charging, this feature will not be expanded to include older phone models. The eventual ability to use this technology will be wholly reliant on the presence of specific support features built directly into the phone’s physical components, or hardware. Consequently, this strict dependency on physical requirements means that the recently developed Galaxy S26 Ultra is the sole device expected to fulfill all criteria and be considered a suitable candidate for the feature’s implementation. If Super Fast Charging 3.0 is just a software feature that uses an improved algorithm, Samsung may offer it to older phones. This feature would slightly increase charging speed by using artificial intelligence.

As of now, Super Fast Charging 3.0 is currently just a feature hidden within the code of One UI 8.5.
The feature is ready to be officially released along with the company’s next top tier smartphones. If it is going to be expanded to older phones, it could appear in the One UI 8.5 Beta next month.
