USDA National Wool Review
22 December 2015
Domestic wool trading on a clean basis was slow this week. There were 130,888 lbs of confirmed trades. These are a representative of a few cleanup sales where smaller amounts of wool are attempting to be marketed at this time, but many are opting to hold onto their wool as there is optimism that there will be another strong rally in the spring where wool will receive more attractive offers for producers.
Currently there is still some resistance due to the strong U.S. dollar, though prices have remained relatively steady over the past several weeks.
