Weekly Trends: Compared to last week slaughter lambs were steady to sharply lower. Slaughter ewes were steady to 13.00 lower, except at Billings, MT where they were steady to 5.00 higher. Feeder lambs were mostly steady to 5.00 lower. At San Angelo, TX 5053 head sold in a one day sale. Equity Electronic Auction sold 330 slaughter lambs in North Dakota. In direct trading slaughter ewes and feeder lambs were not tested. 6900 head of negotiated sales of slaughter lambs were steady to 2.00 lower. 10,300 head of formula sales under 55 lbs were not well tested; 55-85 lbs were 2.00-5.00 higher and over 85 lbs were not well tested last week. 6,594 carcasses sold with 45 lbs and down 27.55 lower; 45-55 lbs 8.72 lower; 55-65 lbs 1.75 higher; 65-75 lbs .30 lower; 75-85 lbs .67 higher and 85 lbs and up .32 lower. All sheep sold per hundred weight (CWT) unless otherwise specified.
