Texels in First Livestock Sale at Balmoral Park

UK - The first ever livestock sale at Balmoral Park, Maze is set to take place on Saturday 6 September when the NI Texel Breeders Club will stage an export sale.

There are 202 entries for this show and sale comprising of 140 ram lambs, 30 shearling rams and 32 females.

Judging is in the hands of Pat Farrell (pictured), Co Meath and will commence at 9am followed by the sale at 10.30am.

Richard Beattie, who is auctioneer for the event is delighted with the interest in the sale to date.

"We very much look forward to conducting the very first sale at Balmoral Park, and hope it is one of many. NI Texel breeders are widely recognised as producing tremendous sheep suitable for pedigree and commercial farmers, and the added bonus of export status is sure to create interest."
