US - US lamb exports in May were sharply lower than a year ago in volume (558 mt, down 38 per cent), though value fell just 7 per cent to $1.6 million, according to the US Meat Export Federation.

Through the first five months of 2016, lamb export volume increased 5 per cent from a year ago to 3,873 mt, while value was down 8 per cent to $7.6 million.

Exports to Bermuda continued to perform well in May and US lamb posted its first exports to Taiwan since 2003, following reopening of the market in late April.
