Dorset Flock to Benefit From EID Reader

23 April 2015

UK – A time saving stick reader has been awarded to an expanding Dorset sheep farm.

The EID reading device was won by Ian and Fiona Andrews of Cattistock, in the latest of 12 giveaways by the National Sheep Association.

The family is interested in sheep farming and their flock of 50 pedigree Texels is expanding.

“When we heard we had won the Shearwell EID stick we were thrilled,” said Mr Andrews. “It will be very useful and save a lot of much needed time that was spent fulfilling movement recording requirements.

“The whole process will now be much quicker and records will be kept up to date in a more manageable way.”
